WEST ANGELES CDC & FANNIE MAE PARTNERSHIP
is proud to present the
FANNIE MAE MORTGAGE HELP CENTER

Fannie Mae, in cooperation with West Angeles Community Development Corporation, and participating mortgage servicers has launched a Mortgage Help Center in the Greater Los Angeles area. The Center can help homeowners with mortgage loans owned by Fannie Mae, who may be in default or struggling to make payments. The Mortgage Help Center is staffed by local advisors who are experienced housing counselors that will meet face-to-face with homeowners seeking help and guidance.

Counseling Services Available to Borrowers

Initial screening over the phone or in-person to determine if the homeowner's loan is owned by Fannie Mae and to collect documents required for most workout solutions.

Follow-up consultation(s) to further review the homeowner's situation and to complete required documentation for workout options and foreclosure alternatives.

Referrals to other agencies for homeowners with loans not owned by Fannie Mae or for additional financial counseling beyond assistance mortgage payment challenges.

Ways You Can Help

Inform Los Angeles homeowners that they can determine if Fannie Mae owns their loan via an online tool at www.fanniemae.com/loanlookup or by contacting Fannie Mae at 1-800-7FANNIE.

Encourage homeowners with loans owned by Fannie Mae to contact the Mortgage Help Center to make a face-to-face appointment for an intake discussion.Direct distressed homeowners who do not have loans owned by Fannie Mae to contact the Homeowners HOPE Hotline at 888-995-HOPE or one of the local HUD-approved counseling agencies in Los Angeles.
Assistance is provided to homeowners by appointment only for their convenience.
