West Angeles Community Development Corporation understands that residential development alone is not enough for the South Los Angeles Community to thrive. For this reason, we also focus on commercial development.

The Housing and Economic Development Department aims to reverse the trend of disinvestment in inner city commercial districts through the redevelopment of state-of-the-art commercial properties that will create momentum for ongoing improvements in the lives of people who live and work in the Crenshaw District and surrounding South Los Angeles communities.

The Economic Development Department has an active roster of potential sites for commercial and/or mixed-use redevelopment. The Department has proven experience in identifying and securing sites, coordinating all public and environmental reviews and architecture and design, and preparing finance packages for commercial real estate projects.
